Cameron Almasi and Eddie Hermida (Suicide Silence, All Shall Perish) have founded a new independent music company, Arson Theory, with an artist-first model that challenges the traditional music industry.

Arson Theory will operate as a full-service ecosystem that spans distribution, label services, publishing, rights management, sync, marketing, merchandising, and catalog acquisitions. The company’s core ethos will be giving artists greater access to growth and access while maintaining ownership and identity.

Co-founder Cameron Almasi says:

“Arson Theory is really the byproduct of two people with very different perspectives coming together and realizing there was an opportunity to build something better. Eddie and I have been friends for a long time, and over the years we would constantly compare what his bands were experiencing in heavy music with what my clients were receiving in the pop, rap, and dance worlds, especially around distribution, publishing, and creative support. I saw a gap between complete DIY independence and the traditional label system. Artists shouldn't have to choose between doing everything themselves and giving up ownership, flexibility, or a large portion of their economics just to receive meaningful support. Publishing was similar, I wanted to bring the kind of creative development, collaboration, and opportunity I had seen in other genres into heavy music."

Arson Theory’s core ethos and approach are driven and influenced by lived experience. Co-founder and vocalist for Suicide Silence and All Shall Perish Eddie Hermida explains:

“Arson Theory is a project that never in my wildest dreams I could have imagined I'd be a part of. Ultimately, I'm a musician that has had a rough time with the 'industry' so I approached this project carefully. Now a year-and-a-half later, I couldn't be more grateful for the opportunity to help boost the trajectory of someone's career. We care about the musician and that is what I believe makes this label so special. It has artists keeping the balance behind the scenes and representing for the artist before any idea comes to fruition. It has managers fed up with red tape working to make things more streamlined. I am happy and proud of what has been built and look forward to watching this company become a staple in the metal and alternative space.”

Arson Theory positions itself somewhere between DIY-independence and a traditional label system, providing artists with long-term development and scalable career growth. Within just a short time, the company has already established itself with a global roster filled with both emerging talent and established acts, with capabilities across distribution and publishing.

“My goal for Arson Theory is to become the undeniable home for artists in heavy and alternative music who want independence without having to sacrifice partnership,” says Almasi.

With an already impressive roster list, Arson Theory is well on its way. Currently on the roster are:

Shadow Of Intent, 3Teeth, All Shall Perish, PeelingFlesh, Carcosa, Psycho-Frame, Boltcutter, Dead Air Divine, Chain Gang, Slow Degrade, Brayton, Kent Osborne, Morgoth Beatz, Shalløw, Weeping Wound, Zero Signal, Charnel, Nervepitch, Piss Ant, Corpse Pile, Traitors, Killing Of A Sacred Deer, Vitals US, 157frq, Vandalheart, Luke Fiadino, Moodring, Keep Close, Still Remains, Evergreen Terrace, Shadow Of Intent, The Last Ten Seconds Of Life, Yvncc, Further Within, Gutrectomy, and more!
