    Covering stages across Connecticut and NYC, Ryan brings a bold, story-driven perspective to live music photography, capturing everything from massive productions to intimate sets. Whether in the pit or behind the scenes of RØKKR, his work channels the raw, unfiltered emotion of the moment.

  • Nathan Smith

    ASSISTANT EDITOR & PHOTOGRAPHER

    Nathan Smith is a New England-based music photographer known for capturing the raw energy and unfiltered magic of live performance. Whether he's photographing a sold-out show at TD Garden or the rise of an emerging local band, Nathan aims to transport viewers straight into the heart of music.

    When he's not in the photo pit, you might find him playing violin with a local orchestra, watching Celtics games, or road-tripping to the next music festival.

  • Danielle Madeux

    PHOTOGRAPHER & WRITER

    Dani has been photographing multiple genre shows but gravitates towards the ska and pop punk club shows. She’s been screaming lyrics in the photo pit for 7 years. She’s covered artists like New Kids on the Block, Big Time Rush & is frequently found with The Interrupters. she’s still holding out hope to shoot her bucket list band- Fall Out Boy. Ska and pop punk are her happy place, and her work brings magical moments to life in both photos and words. The barricade at a show isn’t close enough already, she’s gotta be in the photo pit!

    Based in Reno and originally from Truckee, Noah Lake brings a cinematic edge and raw intensity to every frame. Whether shooting electrifying concert performances, candid backstage moments, or the energy of street life, his work with the Canon R6 Mk II captures the pulse of the scene. Noah’s unique dual background in private security and live music photography allows him to navigate high-pressure environments with precision and instinct. With a fast turnaround and a focus on authenticity, he documents each moment with purpose and emotion.

    PHOTOGRAPHER & WRITER

    Joseph Benitez is the creative force behind Neon Demon Photo, a Columbus, Ohio based photographer specializing in live music, tattoo, portrait, and event photography. Known for capturing raw, unfiltered moments with bold energy and cinematic detail, Joseph blends an eye for composition with a deep connection to the communities he photographs.

    Between the chaos of a concert pit, the quiet focus of a tattoo session, or the intimacy of a portrait shoot, his work tells authentic, visually striking stories that resonate far beyond the frame.

  • Morgan Salzer

    PHOTOGRAPHER & WRITER

    Mo Salzer has been a music lover all her life and is deeply Californian, despite her current Brooklyn home base. Growing up in the San Francisco Bay Area has instilled in her a respect for independent venues, punk people, and alternative rock. In her free time she enjoys experimenting with analogue photography, collecting CDs, and wishing she had a better CD player.

  • Mikey Gale

    PHOTOGRAPHER & WRITER

    Mikey Gale is no stranger to the music industry, whether it was spending his formative years at iconic Chicago venues, being a manager at an iconic Boston venue, or some of his closest friends being musicians, Mikey has always been surrounded by music.  When he's not on tour with Ripe, you can find him in the photo pit or behind the merch table at venues around Boston.  Whether it's the pop melodies of Carly Rae Jepsen, the funk grooves of Cory Wong, the indie rhythms of Flipturn, or the hard guitar of Cage the Elephant, Mikey feels comfortable in it all, providing an authentic, colorful, and personal feeling of any show he captures.

  • Mary Grace Ritter

    PHOTOGRAPHER & WRITER

    Mary Grace Ritter is a photographer, videographer, and writer focused on authentic storytelling. Based in Chicago, she thrives in fast-paced environments. From concerts to conventions, festivals to video game tournaments, she wants to be capturing every moment of the action.
    When not behind the lens, you can find her hunting for the best deals at the thrift store, decorating her Animal Crossing island, or fine-tuning her playlists.

  • Alberto Villalobos

    PHOTOGRAPHER & WRITER

    Alberto Villalobos is based out of Las Vegas, and also covers a lot of shows in Southern California. He has been a concert photographer for three years and strives to capture the energy and atmosphere of a show, while also experimenting with some graphic designs. He is always trying to learn something new and just wants to create something that people can resonate with. 

    When he is not in a photo pit, he travels as much as he can. Exploring new places, going for hikes in the mountains, and shooting some analog film along the way.

  • Brian Folchetti

    PHOTOGRAPHER & WRITER

    Brian Folchetti is a photographer based in Tampa, covering shows across Central Florida. He’s been a music photographer since the MySpace days of yore, taking a decade-long break to raise some kids and pursue a career in graphic design. Since picking up the camera again, you’ll most likely find him covering metal shows across Florida, capturing the energy and chaos that comes with the music. When not behind the lens or a computer screen, you can find him at his local record store digging through the New Arrivals bin, getting lost in a good book, or spending time with his family.

  • Corinne Hartman

    PHOTOGRAPHER & WRITER

    Corinne is a long time concert goer and photography lover, but only recently has taken the leap to combine the two. Joining RØKKR as her first publication, she looks forward to experiencing, documenting, and sharing shows in a different way. Corinne loves a wide range of genres, but has a soft spot for the broad and beautiful world of rock. Whether it be listening to small and upcoming jam bands or indie artists selling out stadiums, she loves the energy that takes over a room of any size as fans and newcomers alike get sucked into a show.

  • Jennifer Greene

    PHOTOGRAPHER & WRITER

    Jennifer is a live music, portrait, and family photographer based in Austin, Texas. Photography has always been a part of her life; she grew up watching her father develop film in their basement darkroom. She has been a portrait and family photographer since 2008, and decided to follow her dream of shooting live music in 2025. She covers all genres of music, from backyard porch concerts to multi-day festivals. She recently returned to film photography and is building a vintage camera collection to experiment with new ways to capture shows and portraits.

    Grace Smith is a Phoenix-based photographer, covering shows all over Arizona. Grace aims to capture the shows' true energy and emotions in her work. From small venues to arenas, she strives to make the magic of live music livable through her photography and show review. When not covering shows for RØKKR, she works full-time as a microbiologist and is often traveling.
