Boundaries unveiled another track from their upcoming album “Yearning: the unbeautiful after” out July 17th on Sumerian Records. The new song, released alongside a music video, is the fourth single from the upcoming album. “May this pain never leave”, directed by Sarah Holick, the band’s longtime photographer and videographer, was filmed at The Webster Underground in the band’s hometown of Hartford, Connecticut. The music video showcases the band performing to a wild hometown crowd who showed up in force.
Vocalist Matthew McDougal explains the track was written in the wake of the 2025 plane crash that killed Dave Shaprio, along with Kendall Fortner, Emma Huke, Daniel Carmelo, and two others. “With the sudden and violent loss of a number of people close to the band this past year it became impossible to not write about the bereavement and the subsequent emotions. As much as it hurts to miss these people, I hope with all my heart it never stops so that I may miss them with the weight and significance they deserve.” The band has a dedication in the video to those who lost their lives in the plane crash.
The band recently wrapped up a European tour, which saw them play at festivals like Rock Am Ring, Rock Im Park, Impericon, and Download. The band will play both Warped Tour and Louder Than Life later this July before embarking on a six-week fall tour with Knocked Loose in late September.
The band’s three other singles from the upcoming album, “Death will follow me”, “Skies cast amber black”, and “Only endless”, are available to stream now. Recorded in the fall of 2025, the upcoming album continues to raise the bar that the band set for themselves after releasing one of the best albums in 2024, “Death Is Little More”. Album pre-orders and pre-saves are available now at the band’s webstore.
