After nine years, Broken Social Scene will return with a new album, Remember The Humans, on May 8. Fans have waited years for more from the Toronto supergroup, with Pitchfork naming the album in their list of the 64 Most Anticipated Albums of Spring 2026. The band reunited with producer David Newfeld, who helmed their breakthrough You Forgot It in People (2002) and self-titled (2005) albums. Remember The Humans will be released via independent label Arts & Crafts and features contributions from Feist, Lisa Lobsinger, Hannah Georgas & more.

The band just released “The Call,” their third and final single before the album arrives next month. The song is full of shifting voices and sounds, making it a perfect cinematic track for spring drives with the windows down. According to the band, the song is about meeting a female force who brings both desire and death. These two sides push the singers to the dance floor, encouraging them to follow their instincts and listen to The Call: “Either restless or reborn / we’re going.

Add this single to the previously released singalong “Hey Amanda,” and the moody “Not Anymore”, and the upcoming LP is shaping up to be a more complex take on the familiar style of previous releases.

The band shared that Remember The Humans’ twelve tracks include arrangements that are “dense and enveloping - a lattice of horns, guitars, voices, and electronics - yet melody always remains sovereign, refusing to be swallowed by the sheer sound.” You can pre-save Remember The Humans here.

Shortly after the album is released, Broken Social Scene will head out on their All The Feelings Tour with Metric and Stars. They will play new songs from the album along with fan favorites this summer. The tour starts in Austin at the Moody Theatre on June 8, and more dates have been added in Canada, Europe, and the UK. Tickets are selling fast, so grab yours soon. All dates are listed below and tickets are available here.
