New York rocker Des Rocs (aka Danny Rocco) released the official music video for his recent single When The Love Is Gone a few days ago. The single, released late last month on February 25, has been well received by fans and media alike, with Classic Rock comparing it to Muse and Freddie Mercury. Rocco has channeled the energy and musicality of these comparisons, while bringing his own groove and swagger.
The music video, directed by Noel Paul, takes the tension and theatricality of the single and turns it into a slice of life Italian-American drama. Set around a chaotic family dinner, Danny is asked by his parents when he will settle down and get a girlfriend. As the argument boils, Danny breaks out into song on the dinner table, and the video erupts into an over the top performance that only builds as the song continues, with dinner food flying everywhere.
This release continues his recent streak of surprise singles including Riders of Red Hook (Legends Never Die) on March 6 and This Land, the Borderlands 4 video game theme in September of last year. These releases signal the start of Des Rocs’ next evolution of music which will be on display in the forthcoming album that Rocco has teased will arrive at some point this year.
While they wait for the upcoming release, fans can see Des Rocs and hear these new singles on tour starting in late March! Tour dates are below!
