French indie-punk trio Snatcher to release new EP

Snatcher is an emerging Paris-based trio that is about to release an indie/punk-rock EP titled Extrasystole

RØKKR received a sneak peek at their song “All The Lights,” which brings light and airy tones with an Arctic Monkeys-inspired guitar tone and Vampire Weekend-inspired rhythm sections. The track captures both urgency and release. Snatcher’s raw energy radiates throughout this song, making you want more as the listener.

The vocals are slightly compressed and vintage, setting the scene for the band’s vision and teasing what’s to come on the EP. In “All The Lights,” we get catchy choruses over a rolling hi-hat in the background that keeps you moving. To add to the vibe that Snatcher sets, you get this amazing bass tone halfway through your listen that paints the rest of the song as a beautiful piece of art.

The bridge leads you to want more, which punches you into the final chorus that doesn’t disappoint. The chorus is catchy and full of life. The outro has the same keyboard or horn section that the beginning has, which paints the song to be a little like an ouroboros structured style which, as a listener, leads you to place the song on repeat.

Snatcher’s will release Extrasystole on September 18, paving the way for this French indie band.

RØKKR RATING: 4.0 / 5.0
