Genesis Owusu, the acclaimed Australian-Ghanaian artist, recently released his eclectic third album, Redstar Wu and The Worldwide Scourge, via Ourness. This 14-track release highlights his genre-blending style, tackling political unrest, disconnection, and truth-seeking.

The album fuses punk, rap, R&B, and pop with Owusu’s theatrical touch. Notable tracks include the energetic "Stampede" and "Most Normal American Voter," and the drum and bass track "Life Keeps Going”.

The album includes guest appearances from the Los Angeles rapper Duckwrth, who joins Owusu on the funky “Hellstar,” and New Zealand singer-songwriter Ladyhawke on the pop track “Falling Both Ways”.

Building on a sold-out international headline run, festival slots including Austin City Limits, and providing support to Tame Impala, Paramore, and IDLES, Owusu announced U.S. tour dates later this fall. Tickets are available HERE!

Owusu also shared a short documentary filmed in Ghana, which premiered last month as a YouTube Premium exclusive. The short film follows Owusu on his first return to his home country since childhood.
