Remi Wolf Dives Into The “Mud” with Her Third Studio Album

On October 9, California’s rising star Remi Wolf released her third studio album, Mud, on Island Records.

The album's imagery of a mud-covered Wolf suggests a messier, darker exploration of her life since her sunnier 2024 album, Big Ideas. A self-described breakup album, Mud helps listeners trudge through the muck and out the other side.

Wolf found the album’s direction during a retreat in Big Bear with longtime collaborator Jared Solomon and close friends. They spent time writing songs, sharing meals, and letting the music develop naturally, which Wolf calls a “family band” experience. The group later met up at Electric Lady Studios in New York and finished the album together in Joshua Tree.

The result is an album that focuses more on capturing real moments over polished production. Mud includes the previously released singles “Twiggy,” “Bottle,” and “I Won’t Cry,” as well as a duet with John Mayer on “Moon So High.”

Along with her talent as a songwriter, Wolf is one of the most electric live pop performers right now, and her shows are not to be missed. She recently announced her forthcoming headlining Mud Tour. It kicks off this December with a run of festivals and headline dates in Australia.

The Mud Tour continues in February 2027, with stops in New York City, Toronto, Chicago, Nashville, Austin, and more! Grab your tickets here: https://www.remiwolf.com/tour/.
