Slaughter to Prevail’s Grizzly is loose, clawing its way to the top
The claws are out!
Grizzly debuts as #1 on the Hard Music Chart.
Slaughter to Prevail Grizzly is tearing through everything in its path. The album debuted at #1 on the Hard Music Chart, and landed at #3 on both the Current Rock Albums and Emerging Artists Charts. This beast of an album is on the hunt and nothing in its way is safe.
From the first few bars of “Banditos,” the album sinks its teeth into your skull. You’re not just headbanging—you’re being thrashed around like Grizzly’s personal ragdoll. “Viking” gives you barely thirty seconds to catch your breath before the drums start pounding like heavy footsteps circling in the dark, and then it lunges. Again. And again.
“Koschei” teases you with an acoustic intro before its metal claws rip into your spine without warning. It's all part of the clever pacing a predator. It’s calculated. It knows when to strike and when to make you wait for it.
Alex Terrible is in full predator mode, shredding through verses with his signature growl. Grizzly is brutal, filthy, and unrelenting—like the blood-slicked saliva stretching between the fangled teeth of apex predator. But beneath all the carnage, there’s a sense of control. The mix is clean and intentional—guitars razor sharp, vocals clear, drums tight. This record is something feral. And right now, the rest of heavy metal is frozen in its tracks, hoping not to provoke STP.
Fresh off punishing attacks at Inkcarceration and Warped Tour Long Beach (Youtube video below!), the band joins Hollywood Undead, Falling In Reverse, and Sleep Theory for a run across North America before Aftershock and Warped Tour Orlando.
