Unapologetic, nostalgic, and brimming with pop-punk spirit, Taylor Acorn has announced her sophomore album Poster Child, arriving October 24 via Fearless Records. The record follows her breakout 2024 release Survival in Motion and marks her first project since signing with the iconic label after nearly a decade of releasing music independently.
The album will feature recent singles “Crashing Out,” “Hangman,” and “Goodbye, Good Riddance”, each promising an emotionally raw look at resilience and self-discovery.
“This record feels very personal but it feels nostalgic at the same time,” Acorn shared. “Some songs are kind of on the angry side and very vulnerable, but there’s also a lot that made me feel like I was back at Warped Tour as a 15-year-old—when there were no worries about anything.”
That sense of longing for simpler times has always been part of Acorn’s DNA. Raised in northern Pennsylvania, she first found her voice in a pop-punk band before relocating to Nashville in 2014, where she connected with producer Dan Swank (All Time Low, Cassadee Pope). Together, they built a sound rooted in the unapologetic emotion of early-2000s punk with a modern, introspective edge.
“When people listen to this album I just want them to feel like they’re back in a time period that makes them feel good.” - Taylor Acorn
Across twelve tracks, from the punchy opener “People Pleaser” to the stripped-down closer “Masquerade,” Poster Child captures both the power and vulnerability of her voice, the kind of record that could soundtrack both a heartbreak and a hometown drive with the windows down. It’s confident without being jaded, nostalgic without feeling stuck.
Festival and Tour Plans
Before the album officially lands, Acorn will take the stage at When We Were Young Festival in Las Vegas on October 18–19, performing alongside blink-182, Avril Lavigne, Panic! At The Disco, Weezer, and more. She’ll follow that with a set at Vans Warped Tour Orlando in November, as well as a headline North American tour starting with an album release show in Nashville on October 29.
Stops include Boston (Brighton Music Hall on November 4), New York City (Gramercy Theatre on November 6), and Los Angeles (Echoplex on November 22) before wrapping in early December.
