French Garage-Psych band The Limiñanas Announce Their First Live Album, Live at Beaubourg, and Their First North American Tour
French alt-rock band The Limiñanas announced the release of their first live album, Live at Beaubourg, out June 19, 2026. The album was recorded in 2025 at the Centre Pompidou in Paris during the Because Beaubourg event. At this 2-day experience, Independent label Because Music transformed the museum into a playground of creative showcases, immersive experiences, and DJ sets. Live at Beaubourg stands as its only recording, capturing the vibe of this unique event across 8 tracks in a continuous flow. The live album brings together The Limiñanas’ nostalgic French pop sound and the multimedia contribution of contemporary artist and frequent collaborator SMITH.
“What I love about live shows is achieving a kind of trance naturally through the performance. We had agreed there would be no interruption in the sound, with a ceremonial aspect as well, since we were closing Beaubourg before renovations”
Lionel and Marie Limiñana, aka The Limiñanas, take a fresh approach to 1960s French yéyé pop, fusing it with modern rock. “Their unique style blends the rebellious spirit and aesthetic of the Gainsbourg and Bardot era with contemporary garage and psychedelic sounds”. The duo has collaborated with icons in the alt-rock scene, including Anton Newcombe of The Brian Jonestown Massacre and Peter Hook of Joy Division/New Order. This fall, they will bring their show to a dozen intimate venues across North America.
