Arizona-based rock group The Maine announced their 10th studio album, Joy Next Door, set to release April 10. Along with the album announcement came the lead single “Die to Fall” (released January 28), as well as a 26-date spring tour!

“Die to Fall” propels the listener into synth-filled dreams of carefree days and warm nights. The music video perfectly captures the nostalgia of summers with best friends spending time doing nothing, but it means everything. This picture of the perfect summer day wouldn’t be complete without twinkly guitar riffs from Kennedy Brock and Jared Monaco, a driving bass line from Garrett Nickelsen, and intricate drum fills from Pat Kirch.

For frontman John O’Callaghan, this song is all about living in the moment. “‘Die To Fall’ is a dialogue with myself about the desire to let go,” O’Callaghan said in a press release. “Let go of my insecurities, my ego, my worries, let go of ‘me’ for even just a second and truly feel the gravity of all the little moments we can often take for granted.”

The upbeat track will slide in perfectly to The Maine’s high-energy live shows, making it the perfect addition to their upcoming spring tour, I Love You But I Choose The Maine. This March the band will be hitting 26 cities across North America starting in Las Vegas, moving through Los Angeles, Seattle, Chicago, Brooklyn, and closing it out in Dallas.

The tour will feature openers Nightly and Grayscale with Franklin Jonas & The Byzantines, Friday Pilots Club, Broadside, and Moody Joody making appearances at select shows. Full tour dates are below!
