Tripewire Festival brings energy and edge to Reno

Reno’s music scene is no stranger to grit and passion. Still, the Tripewire Festival has quickly carved out its own identity as a showcase of heavy music, underground talent, and raw creativity. Hosted in the heart of the Biggest Little City, the festival draws fans from across the region who are looking for more than just a show, they are after an experience!

The J Resort and JMF Presents are bringing the local community the two-day festival during the highly active time of the year for the motorcycle event “Street Vibrations.” The lineup features many bands that have been highly sought after in the past few years, including Reno’s own Split Persona

LOCAL FAVORITES

Split Persona started as a Reno band that moved to Las Vegas shortly after their huge debut at the local level. They recently completed a tour including High Sierra Club and fellow Reno locals InnerState for their 5th anniversary.

Split Persona is a band that values its genre-bending and unique take on the heavy scene. Their shows can be described as “life-changing” and a “spiritual awaking.” When they played in Reno on April 25th, they brought a huge crowd that all had great things to say, many stating that they “haven’t missed a show.”

Zander Hoschak, lead vocalist, shows witty lyrical perspectives and crushing melodies. In the song “Warrior,” you hear Zander’s vocal range at its fullest, from screams to clean vocals, while showcasing his ability to tie messages regarding mental health and self-acceptance into the song.
