X Ambassadors to release VHS(X) August 29 with reimagined “Renegades”
Alt-rock group X Ambassadors are honoring a decade of their breakout debut VHS with a reimagined album, a full headline tour, and two special hometown shows in Ithica, NY.
The celebration has already kicked off with an release of “Renegades (Rerecorded),” a fresh take on the band’s 2015 anthem that first catapulted them into the spotlight. The track, originally an unapologetic call to live boldly, now carries the weight of 10 years years of stages, setbacks, and triumphs. Listen to “Renegades (Rerecorded),” right here!
“I didn’t think much of this song at first, I’ll be honest,” shares frontman Sam Nelson Harris. “After I sent it off to Alex the day I wrote it, I didn’t think about it at all. But over the years as I’ve witnessed how much it’s meant to so many people, and the doors it opened for me and the band, it’s grown on me. It’s come to represent something scrappy and authentic about who I am and who we are as a band. Unconventional, in a world of our own, and uniquely us.”
The full reimagined record, VHS(X), drops August 29th and is available now for pre-save HERE. The album revisits fan favorites including “Unsteady” with reworked arrangements.
