FESTIVAL PRO TIPS
Parking is not available at Zilker Park or in nearby neighborhoods. If you have to drive, try Spothero and book early to save money. Wherever you park, expect a long walk to an entrance.
The park is large at 350 acres, and you will probably walk five to eight miles each day, not counting the walk from your car. Wear comfortable shoes, bring a blister stick and band-aids, and do not forget non-aerosol sunscreen.
Shuttles will also be available; check the website closer to the festival for details. There are plenty of bike racks if you choose to bike.
Come hungry, because there are many great food options from local restaurants and vendors. “Eating your way through ACL fest” is definitely a thing.
Weekend 2 is usually very dusty after three days of tens of thousands of people trampling the grass the weekend before. Bring a bandana or mask to cover your nose and mouth.
Even in October, it can get hot. Bring cooling towels and a reusable water bottle. Water stations and ice are available around the park. The security staff is incredible at spraying the crowd and handing out water and cooling rags on high-heat days, but don't depend on festival staff; come prepared.
