BODEGA Announce New Single and 2026 Tour Dates

New York rock quintet BODEGA dropped a new single “Pick up the Check” on May 6. Accompanying the single is a music video, which sets the song in an imagined formal date to a fish-tank filled restaurant.
“I know too many friends who tolerate unfulfilling relationships out of politeness or fear of letting others down. You don’t have to,” lead singer Ben Hozie said of the song. The band hopes this song inspires people to reset their mindset and take action in their own lives.
The single is a venture into a new sound for the band as they look to expand and explore new parts of their music. Deciding that their time in a strict post-punk space was over, the band wanted to lean into some other areas. “We were very into channeling this late ‘80s/early ‘90s Stone Roses-meets-Jane’s Addiction thing, with more riffing and guitar solos,” Hozie said.

The new single was not the only thing announced last week, upcoming tour dates for this fall were dropped as well! The tour features two NYC shows, headline dates in the EU and UK and dates in the US supporting Cheekface, with more to be announced soon. Check them out if they’re in you’re area!
