Caskets reveal new song Closure with video, details of new album
The Yorkshire melodic metal band known as Caskets released a video for their new single “Closure” on August 28, building hype for their forthcoming third album The Only Heaven You’ll Know, slated for release on November 7, via SharpTone Records.
Lead vocalist Matthew Flood, said, “‘Closure' speaks about the breaking point in a toxic cycle, that moment when you realize the answers you search for will never come. Then, having to walk away knowing there will always be this cell of wonder and confusion clouding your mind […] I've learnt that closure sometimes doesn't come from the words or actions of others, but from finally saying it's over, it's okay, and walking away."
Flood described the upcoming album as “the sound of me falling apart in real time. Every song is a confession. About love that rots you from the inside, about pretending you’re okay when you're drowning, about trying to find peace in a world that makes you feel nothing. “ Caskets appear to be looking back, but also moving forward. 2025 marked a new era for Casketsthem based on reflection, resilience, and reinvention, and we hear this with the release of “Closure.” The song features newer sounds for the band, heavy vocals, breakdowns, and inventive drum tracks.

After the breakout success of their 2021 debut album, Lost Souls, catapulting them on an American and European tour with appearances at Download Festival and Slam Dunk, the band took a more introspective pivot with the 2023 follow-up called Reflections. The first album featured topics about Flood’s personal struggles, and the second offered a journey through individual stories, tensions, and triumphs that shaped the band to be a unit.
