Alt-punk rock quartet Rise Against have announced a headlining tour across the U.S. with support from fellow Chicago-based rockers Alkaline Trio.

The tour is set to open on September 22 in Dallas at the South Side Ballroom and make its way through iconic venues, including The Fillmore in Philadelphia on October 4 and Red Rocks Amphitheater in Colorado on October 12. The tour will conclude in Irvine, California at Great Park Live on October 23.

Many fans in the comments of the band's announcement post on Instagram expressed disappointment at the lack of a Chicago date, given both the bands’ roots in the city. It was especially relevant as the caption of the post touted the tour as “a celebration of two bands that sprung from the same soil and the same Chicago basements and bowling alleys.”

Luckily some observant commenters responded to others’ disappointment with hope: Riot Fest in Chicago will be taking place September 18-20, making it a possible perfect kick-off to the tour.

Rise Against already have festival dates lined up including Welcome to Rockville in Florida on May 10; Sonic Temple in Ohio on May 14; and Louder than Life in Kentucky on September 17.

The group is currently making their way across Canada and select U.S. cities with Destroy Boys, Speed of Light, and Koyo. That run will close out on April 4 in Wheatland, CA at Hard Rock Live. The tour is in support of their tenth studio album, Ricochet, released last August, via Loma Vista.

Tickets are available at riseagainst.com/tour.
