Despite New York’s rally being only the PRESIDENT’s third live event, the fan already show deep allegiance to this new alt-metal project. Among the Citizens in attendance, were supporters from as far as Georgia and Arkansas.
In the center of the stage stood a podium lit by a neon pink double-cross, the unmistakable emblem of the band’s identity. The frontman, aptly named President (vocals), stepped into the spotlight, his hair framing his 80s presidential-caricature mask, while the remaining members — Heist (guitar), Protest (bass), and Vice (drums) — took their places, their heads covered with what appeared to be black burlap sacks.”
The band moved straight into performing The King of Terrors in full, the band’s debut EP released in September 2025. Mid-set PRESIDENT interrupted their own broadcast to cover Deftones’ “Change (In the House of Flies).”
Despite the podium serving as the centerpiece of the staging, there were no spoken words between songs, just deliberate gestures from the President: a raised fist, an outstretched hand, the Nixon double-peace signs. And the occasional moment of reflection, head lowered, both hands gripping the podium, taking in the energy of the room. With the crowd chanting “President, President” between every song, the rally-type atmosphere was incredibly contagious.
Surprisingly, the crowd leaned elder millennial, which aligns with PRESIDENT’s polarizing subject matter — making a satire of political allegiance and the disillusionment toward organized religion — two institutions long associated with scandal, deception, and greed.
PRESIDENT has one remaining U.S. campaign stop in Los Angeles on December 8 before endorsing their fellow British statesmen, Architects, across Australia and Europe. The Administration will then return to American soil in 2026 to join Bad Omens on their nationwide tour.
